June Favorites

Happy almost July! Since today is the last day of June, I thought it'd only make sense for me to finally finish up my June favorites post and post it! So here are the products that got the most love from me in June!

Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten in Honey Dipped

I'm absolutely in love with Honey Dipped. It's funny because I went from not knowing much about this company at all to falling in love with this amazing baked blush of theirs. I used it like insane since I received it in my Birchbox early this month. Read my review here.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy

Nothing new here, I'm sure many of you know that I've been attached to this little gorgeous gem for a while now. Tipsy is great for those humid days (which is typical for Chicago summers) because it lasts on my face all day! No need for touch ups yay! Read my review here.

Sonia Kashuk Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15

I first read about this tinted moisturizer on Tiffany's amazing blog Will Work for Makeup :) I had been searching for Physician's Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer everywhere. I have really enjoyed using last summer but I think it's hopeless. Do any of you know if it's been discontinued? So based on Tiffany's review on this Sonia Kashuk tinted moisturizer, I decided to give it a try. It retails for $12 so I wouldn't feel that bad if it did not work out for me. But it does! I have now been using it for couple weeks and I love it. It goes on super smooth and gives just the right amount of color and coverage.

Essie Sand Tropez

Sand Tropez is a greyish light taupe. Lately all I've been reaching for is Sand Tropez or the other two colors below. Since buying it earlier this month, I've been taking off and reapplying it like I'm on a mission to finish the whole bottle.

China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint

If I was on a deserted island, during summer, and if I was allowed to have only one nail polish with me this would be it. Yeah, that's how much I love it! It's my favorite mint of all the other mints I have!

Orly Rage

Rage is definitely one of my favorite nail polishes of all time! If you don't have this color, I definitely recommend it. I've had it for a very long time but every time I paint my nails with it, I am more excited than the last time I wore it. It's such a unique, foiled rose gold color.

Too Faced Eye Shadows in Honey Pot & Cocoa Puff

I've been wearing this combo quite a bit lately. For my daily looks, I used to use the more neutral shades like Heaven, Push-up and Erotica. I used to usually associate gold eye shadow with nighttime looks, so for the most part I stayed away from gold for day looks. I think Honey Pot is such a wearable gold for daytime. So I wear it a lot during the day, with Cocoa Puff on crease. Looks amazing on brown eyes :)

Korres Pomegranate Lip Butter

The sheer color of this Korres lip butter is just perfect for summer. Especially if you're out in the sun a lot during summer but don't want to leave your lips bare, this is a great product! It's weightless and very moisturizing. I wish it had SPF in it though.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in Pink Please

I talk about Pink Please all the time. This month hasn't been such a lipstick kind of month for me. When I don't know what to wear, I reach of Pink Please. It's the perfect shade of pink, that somehow goes with however I do the rest of my makeup.

MAC Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk

Silver Dusk is a pale pinky beige multi-purpose iridescent powder with silver particles in it. I have been using it in conjunction with the Sonia Kashuk tinted moisturizer. I think the two go hand in hand together, creating a healthy, glowy look without packing on heavy products on my face! After applying the tinted moisturizer, I just do a quick and light sweep of Silver Dusk on cheekbones ;)

Do share the products you've been reaching for the most in June! :)

  3. ooo ive been wanting to try out silver dusk...i think i saw kandee johnson use it one time and ive wanted it ever since :P but my jun faves have been satsuma body butter (still!), carmex tinted moisture lip balm in peach, UD e/s in toasted, and laying off on the black liner! i am used to using such intense amts of liner that i decided to take a break a bit from it. let me tell you... it makes taking off my makeup so much easier! but i swear it's just a phase, i still love me some black liner ha.

  5. I love the Korres lip butters! I've been really contemplating getting silver dusk.. It looked goorgeous when I swatched it.. Is it better than the Dior amber??

  6. The Korres lip butters are my favourites, especially Jasmine and Quince- though I'm not so fond of this new pot packaging... Has the new line of Mandarin lip butters in a stick form reached the States yet?

  8. Great post! I just love your pictures - I'm so jealous! I'm thinking about trying that tinted moisturizer. I just bought one from PF but I'm no so sure I like it. It's not the SPF 50 though, sorry :(

  11. I love all your favourites, they're exactly the sort of things I'd wear. I've been eyeing off the Tarte blush in Tipsy but the only reason I haven't bought it is because imo it looks similar to Illamasqua Lover (?). We don't stock Tarte here so I can't swatch them to compare, I have to buy online. Just wondering, I know you've got Lover as well how do the two compare? Are they very similar or should I justify the extra purchase?

  12. Also love the Korres Lip Butters! And all you bloggers are teasing me so much with these Tarte blushes! I live in Canada, so shipping is mega expensive and no where near a Sephora :( However, I'll be fully armed with lots of research when I do purchase my first!

I've been searching for that PF healthy wear tinted moisturizer for ages too, can't find it in Canada.

Ohhh how I've missed your blog!! I'm finally catching up on reading on it. I love layering my blush with luster underneath and then a touch of tipsy on the apples on my cheeks. Re-fresh mint is by far the BEST mint! I love it too, it makes me feel bad for purchasing any other mint colours because I never use them.

I LOVE your favorites posts! We have such similar tastes, so you always put things on the map for me if I haven't heard of them before!

I feel the same about Korres! It seems surprising that their lip butters don't have SPF considering the way they're marketed!

  17. Oh I really want to try tarte tipsy blush. It looks gorgeous but it's so pricey. Do you know of a good drugstore dupe?
Could you do a drugstore blush post? That would be great.

  18. I wear it only on my cheek bones, I mean I guess it depends on the look :) But for a daytime look, it goes only on my cheekbones ;) Actually it wasn't the one you left the link for BUT thanks anyway because it was under the tinted moisturizers. So it is on their website, but I cannot seem to find it in actual stores :/ You don't have it??? O.o Add it to that list!!

  19. Thank you! They are both amazing products ;)

  20. I've been enjoying Silver Dusk a lot, it's beautiful :) Satsuma body butter is yummy, I can't blame you for loving it for so long! I know what you mean, I am one of the biggest fans of black eyeliner myself but yes taking it off is such a drag! :)

  21. Thank you! Doesn't it just go with everything?? It's a perfect little lipstick :)

  22. Ahhhh you asked me such a hard question lady! You know my Amber Diamond obsession...I still think Amber Diamond is my number one! BUT Silver Dusk is gorgeous too. They're different...Amber Diamond is gold-ish on me at least whereas Silver Dusk hence its name, is more silvery. :)

  23. I am not crazy about the packaging either, mainly because it's not sanitary unless you wash your hands before each use and let's be honest who does that?? I don't think they've arrived yet, I would have heard of them if they have :) Are they worth checking out??

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yay! Glad we have some favorite products in common :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thank you :) Oh I think you tried their organic tinted moisturizer in beige packaging? The one I used last year came in a orange/pink bottle and it was amazing! I hope I can find it again!

  26. Thank you :) I love many of Sonia Kashuk products, I knew I'd be loving her tinted moisturizer even before I tried it :) I know, it's such a pretty little gem!

  27. Thanks Kelly! :) I haven't because whenever I go to Ulta, it's sold out lol I will try it at one point, hopefully! :)

  28. Thank you Lilit :) I think at first glance, they may look similar in pans. I also had doubts about the two being possible dupes of each other before I received Tipsy. But they are totally different. I just compared and swatched the two, I will post the comparison photo to my Tipsy review so you can check it out there. Lover is a true peach in my opinion, whereas Tipsy, is a pinky coral. Hope I could help :)

  29. Awww ! I always hear about the crazy shipping costs from my Canadian blogger friends! Why is it so expensive?? I hope you can get your hands on the color(s) you like soon, I think they're really amazing! :)

  30. Oh I would love to try St. Tropez one day! So much rave about it! Thank you ;)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Funny thing is it's on their website, so I assume it's not discontinued! But where can we find them, that's the question! Hope we both find them somewhere!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yay you're back!!!! Missed you lady! Haha I know what you mean, I don't even purchase any more mint polishes because I know none will be able to top this baby! Ohhh Luster...you're on my list! Thanks for coming back and already enabling pfff! :p

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks hun, I agree! Everytime I check out your posts, my lust list gets a little longer! :) I know it's a bummer that they don't contain any SPF, I am kind of an SPF freak especially in summer lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree they are pricey but I think the reason why is because of the undeniable quality. It really lasts longer than some of my other favorite blushes! I cannot think of a drugstore dupe for Tipsy, I will let you know if I come across a dupe though. I will add your idea to my post ideas list and do a drugstore blush post, thank you! :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Great, thank you so much! I look forward to your comparison post... not that
    I need any more convincing!

  36. I really don't know. I guess because it has to go through customs and that costs money, but I really have no idea. I'm going to Winnipeg in August and they have a Sephora, so if not before, definitely then :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. hehe.. It's just that silver dusk looks soo gorgeous wen I swatched it but I hesitated coz I had my amber diamond and I don't like having too many highlighters as I don't wear them eveyday..

But thanks for ur reply! Very helpful =)

  38. I seriously need the Tarte Blush in my life. I put it off no more! Will go tomorrow and get! LOL :)
