MAC Treats


As most of you know, MAC very recently released a new collection called Bloggers' Obsessions. I thought it was amazing of MAC to recognize beauty bloggers and dedicate a whole collection just for them! I'm so happy that some of my favorite bloggers got to work with MAC to create some gorgeous colors! The only down side is that Bloggers' Obsessions is available only in North America.


While all colors in this collection are stunning, I tried to make my selection carefully as I am really trying to slow my spending down. I don't want to buy products just for the sake of buying and let them collect dust. If I love something, I will buy it. So with that said, I picked up Hocus Pocus. It's a beautiful dark brownish gray with gold shimmer and is in satin finish which is my favorite finish. I love using shades like Hocus Pocus, grays, dark browns even during the day so I know I'll be using it a lot!

I tried to think of other eye shadows that are at least in the same color family as Hocus Pocus so I dug deep in my collection and surprise surprise...I have absolutely nothing that even comes close to it! I initially thought perhaps a shade from Sleek Storm or one from the Naked palette but nope. This actually makes me happy :)


Since I was about to place a MAC order, I thought I'd also go ahead and check off a product that's been on my list for way too long. And that was the Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Gotta Dash! I've wanted this gorgeous lipstick since MAC has released them few months ago. It's a muted coral. Not a shocker, most people know I'm obsessed with this color :)

On my swatches above, photos taken with flash are on top and natural light ones are on bottom. I knew Gotta Dash! would be a dupe of something the instant I took it out of its packaging. I think it's so darn similar to MAC's Jazzed lipstick (on right). I have Ever Hip in the middle and when compared to Gotta Dash and Jazzed, it looks like a shade of pink! If you missed out on Jazzed, grab Gotta Dash!, nobody will be able to tell the difference believe me! :)

This is more of an initial reactions kind of post, I will make sure to do an FOTD using these products soon!

    I love corals so that lippie caught my eye just now haha. Like you though I've been trying to slow my roll--I mean, my make-up spending. ;) I love Hocus Pocus though. I wanted to get that along with a couple of other things, but ended up just snagging Jealousy Wakes.

    Hocus Pocus is a really pretty shadow. Would look lovely used for a grey smokey eye look :) If you have time, can you please do a look using this eyeshadow? Thanks!

    Yay for Gotta Dash! It's one of my fav lippies! I don't have Jazzed, but I agree that the shade isn't the most unique in the world, the formula is definitely head and shoulders above several other lippies! :) Can't wait to see the FOTD ;)

    I recently read about Hocus Pocus and gained a desire to purchase it. Thsi only cments that.

    Gotta Dash is also on my list but I haven't purchased it because they didn't have it at my counter and I NEEDED to swatch it first! I will no longer wait! I'm placing the order now! It's EXACTLY what I thought it would be!

    I'm so happy you bought Gotta Dash! I think that was just about my favorite purchase from MAC this entire year! And Hocus Pocus is pure magic (pardon the pun) I'm so in love with that color.

    I love Hocus Pocus, I'm so glad I got it. Gotta Dash! has been on my list forever but I wasn't sure how close it was to Ever Hip. Now that you've swatched them I can happily buy it knowing that Ever Hip is tooootally different. =D

    I love Gotta Dash. I bought Bare Again and New Temptation from Austria, but they didn`t had this one in stock. I also like Impressive (this is what is called i guess). I didn`t get anything from the Bloggers' Obsessions collection! Is the collection available in Turkey?

    Isn't it so gorgeous? I fell in love with it at first swatch but wanted to sleep on it, I slept on it for months LOL I got Hocus Pocus because I find it really easy to wear for myself. Jealousy Wakes is stunning but was afraid I wouldn't use it much, I have so many other unusual colored eye shadows that just sit there and are hardy ever used :/ Hope you enjoy using it! :) Your welcome for the follow! ♥

    I got it because I found its description to be unique, plus Temptalia's swatches lured me in hehe If you enjoy using grays in your eye makeup I would recommend it :)

    Me too, I love it! Before seeing any swatches of it, I thought it'd be close to Ever Hip but I was wrong. Ever Hip is much pinker. Hope you get it soon and enjoy it :)

    I want Bare Again too, but I thought I'd wait for it because I am in the mood for some fun summer colors now that it's summer :) The colors you picked look gorgeous! :) Bloggers' Obsessions is available only in North America as of now. It'd be so nice if MAC would release this collection in other countries as well. It's not fair, especially considering there are many beauty bloggers all over the world, not just in North America!     You can buy BARE Again from the collection MAC Seasonally Supreme they are launching in August. They are repromoting this color and 11 more sheen supreme lipsticks colors. I really look forward to buying more colors. Hope that they will also be available in September here in Romania. Your blog is great! Keep up the good work!

    Oh man, I wish this collection was released worldwide!!! Hocus Pocus and Christine's green eyeshadows would SO have been mine!!!
