Finished Up / June

So I haven't finished MAC Fix+ like I have planned last month (I did use it almost daily, it just doesn't want to leave me alone!) but I did manage to finish all of these other products, yay!

Tresemme 24 Hour Body Shampoo

I bought this huge bottle when I was looking for a new shampoo to try. Well, lesson learned. Note to self: Never buy this humongous of a container when you wash your hair twice a week and especially if you haven't used the product before. Of course I had no idea that I would end up despising it. Not gonna lie, I fell in the trap of Tresemme's marketing schemes. All the "talk" on their bottle along with the "professional formula" make the product seems like it's the best thing since sliced bread. I will not be repurchasing this shampoo as it really dried up my hair, stripped off natural oils and just left it looking and feeling dull after every wash. Me no likey.

L'oreal Eversleek Sulfate-free Reparative Smoothing Conditioner

I think this is a fantastic drugstore conditioner. It smells delicious, conditions hair and leaves it soft to touch. I have a lot of thick hair and I'm happy to find a product that leaves detangled and smooth! I would repurchase this conditioner. But I just started using the Organix Moroccan Argan oil conditioner because I was in the mood for something new :)

Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat

I've been using the Redken Butter Treat for about 6 years and I truly believe it's a great product. Although pricey for a hair treatment I use only when my hair needs a little pick-me-up, I cannot be without this product. Especially after the dullness I was forced to deal with while using the Tresemme shampoo I mentioned above, Redken butter treat immensely contributed to the revival of my hair. Needless to say I will repurchase.

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment

This was a small sample of this amazing oil treatment. I included it because it lasted me a really long time! All you need is a tiny bit on your palm for it to make an impact on your hair. I have used it both on wet hair and after I used heat tools on my hair. I love that it really smooths out the fly-aways and any frizz my hair has after styling. It has a great smell. I have found out about the Macadamia hair products last year and I've been hooked since then. I even wrote about them back when I first started blogging. Repurchase for sure!

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

My bottle is missing the gold crest on the front as I picked it up from TjMaxx, hello discounted perfumes! I love Viva La Juicy's fruity scent. I can definitely pick up vanilla, sandalwood, amber in this perfume. I love that it lasts all day on my skin! I think it's great for both day and night, I just love versatile scents. I will definitely repurchase it again, it's a staple in my perfume collection.

Escada Incredible Me

I picked up Incredible Me at a duty free last year. I think it's more of a night perfume but I used it during the day anyway. I don't think it's as strong as say Calvin Klein Euphoria which is my favorite night time perfume! Incredible Me is sweet and is actually pretty close to Viva la Juicy in terms of notes. Also like Viva la Juicy, it lasts all day and night on my skin. I think it's based off on vanilla, then there is sandalwood, honeysuckle, orchid and I've read it also has clementine! I really did enjoy this perfume but I love to experiment when it comes to perfumes. So I'll venture out and try some different ones!

I finished the body shop hand and nail cream this month which did absolutely nothing for me. and plus it was so greasy!

I agree with you on the tresemme, I'm not a fan of the shampoos and conditioners but the styling products are ok.

Loving the Viva la Juicy bottle! Tres cute!

  3. Where can you find the healing macadamia treatment? It looks great! And I love getting perfumes from TJ Maxx! They also sometimes have discontinued perfumes there!

  4. I've finished just a few skincare/bodycare items throughout the month. I do these monthly empties posts on my blog as well :) I was thinking about trying the Loreal Ever sleek/pure/whatever (haha) line as well and your thoughts on it makes me want to buy it even more. Have you tried the hair treatments from that line?

I love the idea of this post. Definitely way better than Project Pan!

  6. I haven't finished any products worth talking about (large bottle of contact lens solution & tube of toothpaste, haha), but I agree with you about Tresemme products. I used to use their shampoo and conditioner a lot (bought the large bottles too), but then I realized it was drying my hair more than helping it, even after going for days without washing my hair (ewww, I know) and daily washing. The conditioner wasn't great either - it didn't detangle my long hair, which was annoying because the shampoo tangled and dried out my hair. Now, I avoid their shampoos and conditioners.

  7. I've never been a fan for Tresseme either! Such misleading marketing schemes. Boo. Ooh, but the Redken and L'oreal ones seem pretty promising. :] Yay.

TJMAXX! I need to make a trip there soon. heh heh.

  9. I'm tempted to get Escada Incredible Me but I have too many perfumes I want to use up before. Smells gorgeous though!

  11. Ah I cannot stand greasy hand/nail products. I used to be able to put up with Lush's Lemony Flutter for a while but I even find that to be greasy so I kind of stopped using it. Yes totally agree, I actually love their styling products but haircare products...no thanks! Isn't it adorable? I kind of want to keep it, too pretty to throw away! :)

  12. High fiivvveeee! ;) If I can save a few bucks, why not right! Definitely recommend the Redken butter treat. MAC Fix+ and this Tresemme shampoo took forever oh wait I still have some MAC Fix+ lol

  13. They are available at Ulta, in the hair section :) That's where I first saw them! They even have some of the discontinued perfumes I used to use in my teens awwww :)

  14. I love to do and read these empties posts, I will make sure to check out yours! :) I haven't tried anything else from the line but I would love to because I really enjoyed this conditioner, I hope they all have the same/similar scent because the conditioner's scent was divineeee!

  15. Me too, I love to read others' empties post, p10p is a great idea too but makeup products generally take much longer to finish so you'd need to wait months to do a post, unless you do update posts :)

  16. I finished those too!!!! :) So a few people agree with me on the Tresemme haircare products - great I'm not crazy! :) Too bad their styling products are actually really good!

  17. Really! I mean I understand they can't write "don't buy me" on their containers lol but all the "professional" talk is kind of dumb. If their shampoos were really a "professional formula" we would have seen them at salons. I've never had my hair got so tangled, dried, and looking dull after a visit to even the crappiest salon. Yay gotta love Tjmaxx! :)

  18. Hehe thank you! :) Perfumes are my other obsession! The Escada one took me a year to finish actually because I usually have 7-8 perfumes at a time, I love them!

  19. Yep it's an amazing scent :) Finish a bottle of perfume you have now, then you can reward yourself with Incredible Me for finishing :)

  20. lol I didn't finish them in a month! I wish! Well I finished this particular bottle of Viva la Juicy in 6 months maybe, Escada one took me a year though :) Still, I finished them and I feel accomplished hehe Do a post (of course if the little mr. isn't causing you too much fatigue :)) I would love to read! :)))
