Posh Paradise Paint Pots = Love

In the past couple of months I have developed an unhealthy obsession for MAC paint pots. I think the main reason I am this amazed by them is due to the fact that they last all day without a single sign of creasing! They are soo easy to use, ideal for effortless yet pretty looks on days anything including makeup application is a drag, we all have those lazy days! Did I mention I love the color selection??

The second I found out MAC was releasing yet another collection, Posh Paradise, I immediately hopped onto my computer and googled away for swatches. I knew right then and there that Imaginary and Genuine Treasure were made with me in MAC's mind.

Check out how gorgeous these little treasures are...

Genuine Treasure is the more wearable of the two, though that depends on how brave you're with your make up. Some people just prefer a more neutral look for the daytime, nothing wrong with that. I would totally wear Imaginary during the day as well. According to MAC's description Genuine Treasure is an antiqued gold, with light brown reflects. Genuine Treasure is glitter but nothing of chunky or gritty nature. Imaginary is a blackened dark blue/navy. Just like any other paint pot, these two set right away and last all day! Texture is very creamy for both. They are easily wearable alone. In fact, I've been resorting to Genuine Treasure quite a bit lately with only black gel liner and mascara.

I have used Imaginary as a base for a smokey eye using Hocus Pocus and some Print. I think it makes an amazing base for smokey looks. I know, now you're wondering 'where is the proof??'. Well, I don't have any photos because as usual I was in a hurry and taking photos didn't even cross my mind! Hopefully I will create a look using at least one and photographing it, some day!

Have you picked up anything from Posh Paradise?

  5. OH MY GOODNESS Imaginary is so incredible! I wish I could pull off colors like that all over the lid, I would have picked it up if I could foresee myself getting enough wear out of it. I'd love to see you use it in a look :) I ordered Nubile and Genuine Treasure and I cannot wait for them to arrive!

  11. Lovely review and thanks for sharing! I have Painterly but it creases on me so I really wonder if these new ones will perform better since you mentioned they did not crease on you. I hope they are already available in Malaysia because they do look fantastic :-)

  26. Thank you :) I can definitely see why some ladies wouldn't prefer a color like Imaginary for daytime looks but I think Genuine Treasure is pretty wearable during the day :)

  28. You're welcome Lyn! I haven't come across a single paint pot that creases on me, that's why I love these things so much! I even use them without UDPP, and let me tell you for me that's HUGE. I never leave the house without applying UDPP, ever! I think MAC kept the paint pot formula the same, so I am not sure if these will work any differently on you. I think it'd be the best if you could have it applied on your lids in store and see how you like them. Perhaps spend a few hours wearing it to see if it performs any differently than Painterly, I hope it works! :)

  29. LOL I didn't even think of Outremer ... that is a fairly intense color, isn't it! Nubile is lovely: it's as though Painterly and Girl Friendly had a child.

  30. Thanks girl! You should definitely go grab it before it's gone forever or until MAC decides to be nice and re-promote it ;)

  31. Painterly does get quite a bit of hype, I am sure it makes a great base! It's been on my list forever, but my mind keeps slipping off to colors like these :)

  32. You. Need. Imaginary. I can already imagine the looks you'd do with it! ;)

  33. They both are :D I have seen some messy swatches of Genuine Treasure as well, I am guessing they either swatched it with a light hand OR blended it out before it dried. I have built it up a bit here to show its true color, and I like to wear it built up because I want the color to show on my eyes :)
