November Favorites

Hey everyone! Happy December!

I've been a slacker blogger yet again, life happens! :) I've just been living my life, recently celebrated hubby's birthday and my favorite holiday which is Thanksgiving. Even though I've been busy, I have been loving make-up and wearing it more passionately than ever. My November favorites include some old favorites and some new finds, hope you enjoy it! :)

MAC Patina

Patina is a beautiful brownish taupe with some golden sheen to it. According to my swatch search before purchasing this color, I have realized this color really varies on your complexion. On my skintone it looks more like a taupe with a hint of goldish green to it. I've been absolutely in love with Patina throughout November. All I wanna wear is a neutral shade all over my lids (such as my favorite Grain) and Patina on the crease. If I'm doing an evening look, I incorporate Print on the outer V for a darker and more dramatic look.

NARS Lovejoy

I think Lovejoy currently holds the 'my favorite blush ever' title. I can't believe I have waited so long to purchase this blush, better later than never though. I've been using it like a maniac everyday since I bought it. I love the color, pigmentation, the staying power, consistency everything! I will definitely be repurchasing it as long as Nars continues to make it! :)

Nivea Milk and Honey Lipbalm

This lipbalm was really purchased on a whim. I already have more lip balms than I will ever need in the entirety of my life. But as you may know, there is something about lip balms that makes you want to buy more. Who needs more than one lip balm at a time? Unless tinted, but even then! I am reaching for this a lot more than my EOS ones these days. The honey scent is amazing! It's a lip balm, what can I say about it. It moisturizes my lips lol

MAC Studio Fix Fluid + Revlon Photo Ready

I've been trying to use up my Studio Fix Fluid so I can back to MAC it once and for all. Ever since I discovered Revlon Photo Ready several months ago, I've shied away from MAC foundations in general. Especially Studio Fix Fluid. It seems to be too thick to do anything with in my case. It takes so long to blend and just feels heavy on my face. I will obviously not throw it away, so I found a better way to make use out of it. I do a half pump of each foundation and get great color pay off and coverage. The mixture doesn't give as flawless of a coverage as using Photo Ready alone and not really an airbrushed look but I like it!

MAC Peachstock Lipstick + Smashbox Lipgloss in Sweet

I had been staying away from nude lipsticks for a long time. Few weeks ago I did a look using Grain, Patina and Print and I was going through my lipstick stash and wanted to experiment with Peachstock. It was instant love. Ever since then, I've been frequenting Peachstock quite a bit. Quite shocking for me, but it's been my most used lipstick this month! Though Peachstock is in Satin finish, it definitely has the consistency of a matte lipstick on my lips. I'm personally not fond of dry looking lips, so I top mine off with my Smashbox lipgloss in Sweet (which I recently rediscovered when I went shopping in my stash!)

Essie Sew Psyched

I knew I had to get this nail polish after seeing it on one of blushingpixie's videos on YouTube. I don't have any nail polish even close to this color. Only greens I have are either blackened green such as Here Today Arragon Tomorrow or turquoises/teals (which aren't really green!) so I think it was a necessary addition to my collection! I adore this color, it's a color you'd find on an army uniform or at least that's what it reminds me of. Let's just call it a greenish gray! :)

What were some of your favorite products in November?

  2. I love that polish colour, I have Here Today Arragon Tomorrow too, but this is definitely something else! I love patina too, but mine doesn't pick up colour as well, there's probably something wrong this it..oh well. And Nars blushes...well there's nothing bad to say about them. I think it's safe to say I want ALL of their blushes.

  4. Great faves hun! I feel the same about SFF and PR was just too shimmery for me. So I do mix both together too! I like it a lot more! I need to get me some of that Nivea lipbalm. Chappy lips atm!

  6. Ha! All of your favorites are currently on my "to get" list lol. Even the Nivea lip balm! lol Well, except for the foundations...which happen to be both my favorite ones that I alternate between, but I think I'm gonna try combining them together. So thank you for the idea! =)

  8. @ Cutiegingerbread, I really like this lip balm, primarily because of it's scent lol It is as moisturizing as any other in my opinion. It doesn't really lock moisture in, I think EOS ones keep lips moisturized longer. What?! You don't already have Sew Psyched?! Yuliya!? :p

@ Obsessed.Makup.Addict, I love this color, I take it off and put it back on again lol There may be something wrong with the one you have, mine picks up really good, you should take it back and ask them what the heck they were thinking! lol Ahh I want all the NARS blushes too, btu they ain't cheap wahhh :/

@ TKOmulatta, thank you lady! :) Lovejoy should be in everyone's collection, seriously! I am not even overreacting this blush is amazing! You should get the lip balm, I got it only because of the scent. In other words, I judged a book by it's cover and I'm glad I did! :))

@ Miss ♥ Nikka thanks girlie! Ohh so I'm not the only one huh? A lot of people seem to rave about SFF, I guess I used to also but I'm very happy with PR so I'll take with that. Enjoying the mixture of the two atm though. You need lip balm asap, can't blame you for chapped lips because as we both know, Chicago cold is here...to stay for the next 6 months! LOL

    @ deerest, your welcome! :)

@ Lilladylife, it smells yummy! Lovejoy is magical :)

@ Jackie, are you serious?! lol I wonder if you have everything that's on my 'to get list' hmmm! :) I really like the combination of these foundations, give it a try ;)

@ Blushingloves, they would look amazing on you, you should definitely get them! I know you said you chose Satin Taupe over Patina, but Patina is a must have in my opinion and so is Lovejoy :)) xoxo

  9. I loved Sew Psyched, but did you find it came out much darker on your nails than it looked in the bottle? I was a little disappointed...x

  13. @ StellieStellina actually yes, it does look a bit lighter in the bottle. But I love wearing it regardless :)

@ Andrea. It's really gorgeous. I can't believe I had for such a long time and started using it more about 2 months ago. I know these 'prestige' nail polishes are expensive. Thankfully I had a Ulta certificate, otherwise I hate paying so much for a nail polish also! ;/

@ tina_mbc it's gorgeous if you like peachy nudes and I am guessing you do! :) It's good to have in your collection but I seem to not love it as much as I used to. Patina is a must! :)

@ ellamarie84, Yayyyy!!! :) I have Douceur and really enjoy using it. Wish I got Madly too though *sigh* who knows maybe I'll get it for my birthday! Woop woop! :)
