October Favorites

I don't know about you but I'm having a hard time believing it's already November eeeek! I actually kinda look forward to the ends of months because that's when I blog about my favorites and read/watch other people's - these are some of my favorite types of posts/videos :) Without further ado, here are my October faves!

Sizi bilmiyorum ama Kasim ayinda oldugumuza inanmakta zorluk cekiyorum ben! Aslinda ay sonlarini abirsizlikla bekliyorum (biraz) cunku ay sonu demek favoriler postu demek, hem yazmayi hemde diger bloggerlarinkilerini okumayi cok seviyorum :) Lafi daha fazla uzatmadan, iste Ekim ayi favorilerim!

  The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Adore and Lip Butter in Red Velvet are new to my collection. Though it looks a little scary, Adore is an extremely wearable brick red. Red Velvet is a very rich, blue based, deep red which I find to be buildable. Onto some old faithfuls...First I have (yes, another Revlon product!) Carnation which is an opaque, medium, blue-based pink. Sure, it's not a typical lipstick shade for fall but I love it for fall anyway. MAC's pinky-beige Blankety also came out to play in October. It's been my most-reached-for nude lipstick all month. Lastly, I have MAC's Lovelorn which is a medium blue/pink. Due to its lustre finish it's semi-sheer thus making it more wearable.

Yeni oyuncaklarim Revlon Adore ve Red Velvet'a merhaba diyin. Adore paketinde koyu bir renk gibi gorunsede aslinda bildigimiz kiremit rengi. Red Velvet ise mavi alt tonlu koyu kirmizi. Eski favorilerimden ise yine bir Revlon ruju olan mavi alt tonlu pembe olan Carnation'a yeniden kavustum. Aslinda rengine bakilinca akla gelen mevsim yaz olan Carnation'i ben nedense sonbahar mevsimine cok yakistiriyorum. Son iki favorimde MAC'ten, Blankety ve Lovelorn. Lovelorn'un Lustre bitisinde olusunu ve dolayisiyla opak olmayisini seviyorum, gunluk kullanim icin super.

Fall was definitely on my cheeks in October with NARS Taj Mahal and NARS Lovejoy and theBalm Cabana Boy.

Sonbahar renkleri yanaklarimdan eksik olmadi Ekim ayinda. En cok NARS'in Taj Mahal ve Lovejoy'unu birde theBalm'in Cabana Boy isimli alligini surundum.

I have dug up two of my limited edition Wet n Wild palettes, Golden Goddess and Sugar Plum Fairy. Both palettes are perfect for fall! Of course, I couldn't conclude the eyeshadows part without a Burberry eyeshadow. Good news, I finally got over Pale Barley. I still do love it. I have, since, been obsessing over Midnight Brown. It's one of those rare colors you can wear on its own and it still looks beautiful.

Isiltili koyu kahverengi ve icinde kucucuk rengarenk simleri olan, kendi basina bile sahane bir goz makyaji yaratabilen nadir farlardan biri bence.

Sephora by O.P.I. Traffic Stopper Copper, Nails Inc. Sloane Square, Essie Leading Lady, Orly Rage, Sephora by O.P.I On Stage, Zoya Mata Hari

I have reached for these pretties the most in October, it's pretty self-explanatory although I have to add that Nails Inc. Sloane Square is the easiest to remove nail polish I have ever experienced. I am not sure if this applies to all Nails Inc. glitter polishes as this was my first one.

Ekim ayi favori ojelerimde boyle, fazla soylenecek birsey yok. Ama sunu eklemeliyim ki, Nails Inc. in yukarida gordugunuz Sloane Square neredeyse tamamen simden olusan bu ojesi hayatimda gordugum cikarilmasi en kolay simli oje! Nails Inc.'in butun simli ojelerimi boyle acaba?!

Lastly, I have developed an enormous love for Bath and Body Works' new scent, Cashmere Glow. It has fall written all over it. The notes in this scent are vanilla, peach and musk. I personally don't pick up peach but vanilla and musk are definitely in it. I picked up the travel-sized trio in the cute packaging with gold bow 1. because I couldn't resist the bow and 2. because we're going on vacation next month, perfect! The individual one was free with a Bath and Body Works coupon.

Son favorim ise Bath and Body Works'un yeni kokusu Cashmere Glow. Bath and Body Works notalari: vanilya, seftali ve misk olarak belirtmis. Ben sahsen seftaliyi pek alamadim, daha cok vanilya ve misk gibi geldi. Seyahat boyu ucluyu almamin nedeni ise 1. Kutusu cok tatli, altin fiyonka bayildim, almazsam aklim kalirdi. 2. Onumuzdeki ay tatile gidiyoruz, cok isime yarayacak bu uclu! Ondeki tekli ise Bath and Body Works kuponuyla bedavaya geldi.

A Little Haul

Hey everyone! For the past few weeks, I have been on an unintentional shopping ban. I am proud of the fact that I don't just buy everything I see, that definitely can't be a bad thing. So to celebrate my "accomplishment", I have recently checked off a few things of my wishlist and thought I'd share them with you! :)

Herkese selam! Son birkac haftadir kendimi tamamen istek disi kozmetik alisveris yasagi gibi birseyin icinde buldum. Gordugum herseyi almaktan kendimi alikoyabildigim icin kendimle gurur duyuyorum tabi, bu kesinlikle kotu birsey olamaz! Hitting pan on MAC MSFN meant one thing - mission: finding new setting powder. Sure, I could just go and repurchase the mineralize skin finish but I was really up for trying something new as MAC MSFN has been my setting powder for longer than I can remember. On my wishlist were powders from Laura Mercier and Chanel but when the lovely Delyteful Speaks recommended I give this Burberry Sheer Foundation a try, I found myself at Nordstrom's website. It is pure luxury (I actually don't know how long it will take me to dip my brush into this beauty, it's so pretty!) just like the Burberry eyeshadows I have fallen in love with couple months ago. With this occasion, I also checked off another wishlist item which was the gorgeous Burnished Copper, a metallic eye creme by Laura Mercier.

MAC MSFN'imin dibini gormek = misyon: yeni bir sabitleyici pudra bulmak. Tabii ki, MAC'e gidip yenisini alabilirdim ama bu sefer yeni bir pudra denemek icin kollari sivadim ve arastirmaya basladim. Aslinda listemde Chanel ve Laura Mercier'den iki pudra vardi ama ne zaman ki Delyteful Speaks bana bu Burberry sheer fondoteni tavsiye etti, o an kendimi Nordstrom'un websitesinde buldum. Tipki birkac ay once asik oldugum Burberry farlari gibi cok luks. (Bu guzellige fircami batirmak ne kadar zamanimi alacak bilemiyorum, resmen mukemmel!) Bu vesileyle listemde uzun zamandir bulunan Laura Mercier Burnished Copper isimli metalik krem farinida aradan cikarmis oldum.

St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse

Summer may be coming to an end (technically we have a month left!) but bronzing season for me is never over! I like a nice tint of color and a healthy glow to my skin all year around. I have been meaning to try the ever so talked about St. Tropez for a very long time and the time has finally come. Previously I had been using Sun Labs lotion bronzing products and while they are amazing, I hated their dark cherry/root beer-like scent that just doesn't dissipate. I really want to love this bronzing mousse *keeping fingers crossed*

Yazin sonuna yaklasiyor olsakta bu bana gore bronzlasmayi birakmak icin bir sebep degil. Ben butun sene abartili olmayacak sekilde teninde hafif bir bronzluk sevenlerdenim.Artik bloglarda gormekten ve Youtube'da duymaktan baydigimiz St. Tropez sonunda benim. Daha once Sun Labs'in bronzlastirici urunlerini severek kullaniyordum ama artik visnemsi ve butun gun tene yapisip kalan kokusuna tahammulum kalmadigi icin cozumu St. Tropez'de aramaya karar verdim.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Of all the places, I have come across the famous dry shampoo at TjMaxx! I have a lot of thick hair that really only needs a wash 2 times a week. Nonetheless I thought between the 2 washes I could freshen up my mop using this dry shampoo, let's see!

TjMaxx'te gezinirken tesadufen buldugum Batiste kuru sampuani hic dusunmeden kaptim. Kalin telli ve gur saclara sahip oldugum icin sacimi haftada en fazla 2 kere yikamak bana yetiyor aslinda. Yinede 2 yikama arasinda saclarimi bu kuru sampuanla ferahlatabilirim diye dusunuyorum, bakalim!

Nails Inc. & Sephora by O.P.I.

With fall coming full speed, I thought it was only appropriate to check out some fall nail polish shades. At a recent Sephora nail polish swatch fest, I randomly met "I'm With Brad" - I don't think it gets any more fall than this color! I'd describe the color as a very dark (almost blackened) slightly shimmery red wine.I also purchased my first Nails Inc. shade in Sloane Square and have been absolutely in love with it. I fall in and out of love with glittery nail polishes quite a bit. Sloane Square is nothing like my nails have experienced it before. It has a darker glittery silver base with chunkier multi-colored glitters. "I love this nail polish" is definitely an understatement. I cannot stop looking at my nails! Another and last shade I picked up is Traffic Stopper Copper by Sephora by OPI.

Son surat yaklasan sonbaharla beraber en son Sephora ziyaretimde sonbahar oje tonlarina bakmadan edemedim. Oje swatchlarken tesadufen buldugum "I'm With Brad" kesinlikle sonbahar diye bagiran hafif piriltili koyu kirmizi sarap rengi. Son olarakta ilk Nails Inc. ojem olan Sloane Square benim oldu. Hayatimda gordugum en pigmentli simli oje diyebilirim. Koyu gumus/tunc bazli ve icinde minik rengarenk simler var.

July Favorites

Hot Chicago weather just hasn't allowed me to wear makeup as I would have liked in July. True, I don't spend the entire day walking under the sun but even going in and out of air-conditioned places is enough to make me feel uncomfortable wearing much makeup. For the most part I reached for my beloved Garnier BB cream for face (it's so light, airy and perfect for hot and humid weather - which I won't include in this monthly favorites post because I am sure you already had enough of it) and light sweep of bronzer and blush, some no-fuss eye shadows and mascara. However, I did discover some other amazing both makeup non-makeup items in July and they all quickly became favorites...

Chicago sicaklari Temmuz ayinda diledigim gibi makyaj yapmama bir turlu izin vermedi. Evet butun gunu gunesin altinda yuruyerek gecirmiyorum ama klimali ortamlara girip cikmak bile yuzumde fazla makyajla beni rahatsiz etmeye yetti. Temmuz ayi makyaj bakimindan benim icin Garnier BB kremim, azicik bronzlastirici ve allik, kolaylikla surulebilecek farlar ve maskaradan ibaretti. Temmuz ayi icinde hizla favorilerim arasina girmis olan birkac yeni urunde oldu...

Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes

These wipes are hyped up like they are the best of the best so I had to see for myself. I think they are great wipes! There is an exfoliating side as well as a normal side. They do an amazing job removing makeup but it can be a little difficult for them to completely remove eye makeup, especially waterproof mascara. I love that they have no scent and they leave my skin feeling and looking squeaky clean.

Bu makyaj temizleyici mendiller o kadar cok konusulduki artik denemek zorunda kaldim.  Bir tarafi sanki peeling etkisi yaratan bir yapida, diger tarafi ise normal olan bu mendiller yuz makyajini cikarmakta basarili. Ancak waterproof maskarayi cikarmakta biraz zorlaniyorum bu mendillerle. Kokusuz olusu ve kullanimdan sonra geride yumusacik bir cilt biraksi hosuma gitti.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

I'm not someone who has or enjoys for that matter too many skincare products. But I still somehow find myself looking for new products. Skincare is a whole another obsession in itself, seriously. I have also been an on again off again type of toner (and the like) user. Sometimes I feel like toners do nothing, other times I think they are heaven-sent. While this Caudalie beauty elixir isn't exactly a toner, it does a very similar job as one. I use it right after cleansing my face and before applying moisturizer. My skin does feel smoother since I have began using it earlier this month. I love its tea tree/peppermint scent.

Ne cok cilt bakim urunum var ne de olsun isterim. O kadar kalabaliga ne gerek var, bosuna yer tutuyorlar. Bunu derim, sonrada surekli yeni cilt bakimi urunleri arayisi icinde bulurum kendimi. Bu da zaten kendi basina bir hastalik. Tonik benim icin bir kullanip bir kullanmadigim bir urundur. Bazen gercekten ise yaradigini bazense para kaybi oldugunu dusunurum. Su siralar, bu Caudalie guzellik iksiri her ne kadar tonik olarak satilmasada, tonikle ayni gorevi gordugunu dusunuyorum. Yuzumu temizledikten sonra ve nemlendiricimi surmeden hemen once yuzume fis fis ve cildim daha yumusak! Cay agaci yagi ve nane karisimi kokusunuda cok begendim!

MoroccanOil Treatment

 I had been a long time user of Argan oil but always had MoroccanOil in the back of my head. All the blog posts and vlogs mentioning MoroccanOil products made me want to try it so much more. I go to a hair salon which uses their products. So in my last trip to the salon few weeks ago, I decided to get the sample/travel size to try out. It's a great oil and definitely comparable to the Agadir Argan Oil I had previously used. I can feel my hair much smoother, softer and conditioned already! I don't think one is better than the other though, they're equally good.

Yillardir Argan yagi kullanan ben hep Moroccan yagini denemek istemisimdir. O kadar konusuldu ki istemesemde eninde sonunda deneyecektim bir gun. Birkac hafta once Moroccan yagi urunlerini kullanan kuaforume gittigimde, gun bugundur dedim ve denemelik en kucuk boyunu aldim. Argan yagiyla arasinda pek bir fark goremedim acikcasi. Ikiside cok iyi, saci gercekten yumusatan ve nemlendiren yaglar.

Revlon Photo Ready Perfecting Primer 

I have only used 2 primers in my entire life, Smashbox Photo Finish and NARS Pore-refining primer. Neither one of them proved they were worthy of a repurchase so I continued without a primer for a very long time. You may already know that Revlon Photo Ready Foundation is my absolute favorite foundation and have been pretty much since it came out. Expecting an equally good performance, I decided to give it a go. I can clearly see a difference in my pores when using this primer layered under my foundation. My pores aren't really large but who likes to see even the slightest look of pores no matter what size they are? This primer is definitely a keeper, worth to check out if you're looking for one!

Haliyle bir baska Photo Ready urunu olan bu fondoten bazindan beklentilerim oldukca yuksekti. Revlon yine yuzumu kara cikarmadi. Bu baz sayesinde gozeneklerim neredeyse hic gorunmuyor diyebilirim. Aslinda benim gozeneklerim oyle buyukte degil, ama yinede kucuk buyuk ne farkeder, goruntusu hos degil.

Burberry Pale Barley & Urban Decay Darkhorse

For the past few months, I have been seriously amazed by the Naked palette which I have neglected for a very long time. It took me a second to recognize the power and beauty of this palette. Better late than never. Lately my favorite crease shade has been Darkhorse. It looks beautiful with Pale Barley swept all over the lid which has been my favorite lid color since I purchased it few months ago. Don't be surprised if I hit pan on this beaute soon!

Naked paleti herkes hakkinda konusuyor diye alan, aslinda onceleri o kadarda onemli bir palet olmadigini dusunen ben son birkac aydir kendisine iyice dadanmis durumdayim. Son zamanlarda Naked'den favori rengim Darkhorse. Burberry Pale Barley'i tum goz kapagina uyguladiktan sonra Darkhorse'u goz cukurunda kullaniyorum. Sabah ya da aksam icin bana gore gayet uygun iki renk. Bu kombinasyonunun hastasiyim diyebilirim!

Prestige My Blackest Lashes

My curious mind always wondered if My Blackest Lashes could even compare to my HG mascara, L'oreal Voluminous. Well, yes and no. It's definitely volumizing, curling and lengthening but in my case (and I do already have long,black lashes) compared to Voluminous it takes so many more coats to achieve the look I get with using Voluminous. Other than that, it's a good mascara. I have not experienced any flaking or smudging at all. I think it does a great job holding the curl throughout the day.

Hep My Blackest Lashes'i benim en sevdigim maskaram L'oreal Voluminous ile kiyaslamayi hayal edip durmustum. Sonunda dayanamadim, kendi gozlerimle gormek istedim aradaki farki. Kirpikleri uzatmakta, kivirmakta ve hacim vermekte basarili. Sonuclar birbirine oldukca benziyor ancak Voluminous'in yarattigi etkiyi My Blackest Lashes ile yakalayabilmek icin cok daha fazla kat surmek gerekiyor. Onun disinda gayet iyi bir maskara. Kesinlikle akma, bulasma yasamadim.

Essie Topless and Barefoot + A Cut Above

I always love a good nude manicure and for that you just can't go wrong with Essie's Topless and Barefoot. I seriously think it's the queen of all nude nail polishes out there. To jazz it up a little, I use A Cut Above on the accent nail of my choice, sometimes ring or index. I also like to use it just on tips.

Nude manikuru her zaman cok sevmisimdir ve bunun icin Essie'nin Topless & Barefoot renginin ustune baska bir renk olmadigini dusunuyorum. Nude ojelerin kralicesi bence! Ama tabiki sadelikle uzaktan yakindan alakasi olmayan ben bu manikure baska birsey eklemeden yapamam. Bu is icinde yine Essie'nin A Cut Above simli ojesini cok seviyorum. Bazen yuzuk ya da isaret parmagimda kullaniyorum renk katsin diye bazende sirf uclarda. Seviyorum bu ikiliyi!

Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow / Pale Barley

I coveted. I purchased. I loved.

Istedim. Aldim. Sevdim.

Burberry Sheer Eyeshadows come nestled in a black,velvet Nova Check pouch which is packaged in a cream colored box. Packaging is absolutely to die for. The magnetized gunmetal compact adorned with the check logo is anything but ordinary. Compact does noticably feels heavier than what I am used to. There is 2,5 g (.088oz) of Pale Barley goodness in this compact which is roughly more than a Chanel Ombre Essentielle eyeshadow (2g/0.07oz). 

Burberry sheer farlari oldukca luks Nova Check baskili siyah, kadife bir kese icinde, kesede krem rengi Burberry kutusu icinde satiliyor. Sunum gereckten sahane! Miknatisli koyu gri kompakt ustunde yine check logosu ile oldukca siradisi. Kompakt alisik oldugumdan daha agir geldi. Chanel Ombre Essentielle farlariyla kiyaslayacak olursak aradaki fark...Burberry farlari 2,5 g Chanel farlari ise 2g.

Though Pale Barley is a simple shade it's really hard to describe. I will call it a muted, shimmery medium brown with gold sheen in satin finish. Texture is unbelievably, velvety, buttery soft. My expectations in terms of pigmentation were high and I am happy to report that I have not been let down. Pale Barley has got some great color pay off. With or without a primer/base, it seems to stay put on my lids throughout the day without creasing.

Basit bir renk olmasina ragmen Pale Barley'i tarif etmekte zorlandim. Ona yumusak altin piriltili, orta kahve demek istiyorum. Bitisine ise saten ve pariltili karisimi diyebilirim. Yapisi kadifemsi ve inanilmaz derecede yumusacik. Bu fardan, pigmentasyon bakimindan, beklentilerim oldukca yuksekti. Beni hayal kirikligina ugratmadigi icin mutluyum! Bazli ya da bazsiz butun gun hareket etmeden durmasida benden arti puan aldi.

I pulled out shades I have initially thought would be pretty similar to Pale Barley. Well, I was so off that I am embarrassed to show which ones I thought were close. The closest color I own is Patina, which is one of my all-time favorite eye shadows. I can't believe I have not seen this coming from swatch searches! Patina only comes close, it's not a dupe in my opinion. Patina definitely has more gold with almost a greenish tint.

Koleksiyonuma Pale Barley'e benzeyen renkler varmi acaba diye soyle bir bakindim. En yakin renk Patina cikti, tum zamanlarin en sevdigim farlarindan sadece biri. Satin almadan once Pale Barley swatchlarina baktigimda bunun nasil farkina varamadim hayret ettim! Patina yakin ama ayni renk mi, hayir. Patina'nin icinde yesilimsi tonlarda altin rengi daha agir.

Without a doubt, luxury comes with a hefty price tag in most cases, in this case $29. I confess that it is way more than I would ever like to pay for a single eyeshadow but then again it is a color I have absolutely fallen in love with. Not to mention, it is such a versatile and easily wearable one.

Suphesiz luks demek para demek, bu durumda 29 dolarcik. Itiraf ediyorum, tek bir far icin hic bir zaman odemek istemedigim bir fiyat. Ama cok sevdigim,gercekten cok severek kullandigim, ve ustelik kolaylikla her gun, her zaman kullanilabilecek bir renk.

In conclusion, I do recommend it to all the neutral eyeshadow lovers out there! I think it's a must have in any makeup addicts collection ;)

Sonuc olarak, naturel far severler icin siddetle tavsiye ediyorum bu rengi. Bence her makyajkoligin koleksiyonunda bulunmasi gereken bir far ;)
