Finished Products / June

I have finally finished enough products to do a post! I haven't been able to do these posts for the past several months as I was away and didn't have any products with me that I can actually use up. But now that I am back, it's all about finishing products! What you see below aren't the only products I have used up, these are just the more makeup related ones. If you want to see mini-reviews for haircare or body care products let me know and I will include them next time :)

Sonunda bir post hazirlayabilecek kadar urun bitirebildim! Epeydir bitirdigim urunler hakkinda yazamiyordum. Hem aylardir Turkiye'deydim hemde yanimdaki urunlerin hic biri oyle kolay kolay bitirilebilecek seyler degildi. Dondugumden beri bir an once bitsin diye uzerine yogunlastigim urunleri bitirdim sonunda.

Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover

If you don't already know, this amazing Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover is my favorite of all time. I mention it every chance I get because I honestly think it's that great. I think this may be my 5th bottle - I lost count :) It gets every bit of eye makeup off, it doesn't leave any oily residue on face and is easily accessible at Target. The only drawback for some may be the price factor as it is $9.99 for the 4.75oz bottle. (You can find Sonia Kashuk coupons on Target's website most of the time) For comparison, Neutrogena eye makeup remover is approximately $5.99 for a 3.8oz bottle.

Eger bilmiyorsaniz hemen soyleyeyim, bu Sonia Kashuk goz makyaj temizleyicisi kesinlikle favorim. Sanirim bitirdigim 5. sise olabilir.

MAC Fix+

Fix+ gets quite a bit of rave in the beauty world and I respect those of you that swear by it. However it doesn't seem to be working for me. I don't see or feel any kind of difference whether I set my makeup with it or not. On a happier note, I have found that Avene thermal spring water spray does a fantastic job for setting makeup which is what I use these days.

Guzellik dunyasinda epey sevilen Fix+ malesef benim icin pek tatmin edici olmadi.

Revlon Photo Ready

Revlon Photo Ready has been my favorite drugstore foundation pretty much since it came out few years ago. It works wonderfully with my normal skin. It is a medium-full coverage foundation that photographs well in my opinion. I love the smooth, almost air-brushed finish it gives my skin. On my skin it lasts about 8-9 hours.

L'oreal Voluminous

Voluminous has been my favorite mascara for years. I do occasionally feel adventurous and try out mascaras from other brands but always end up coming back to Voluminous. I find it to be lengthening and volumizing. It definitely holds the curl throughout the day without clumping or flaking. What else can I ask for!

Voluminous senelerdir favori maskaram. Arada bir maceraperstligim tutup baska markalarin maskaralarini denemiyor degilim ama her zaman donup dolasip Voluminous'a geri geliyorum. Kesinlikle akma, bulasma sorunu olmayan Voluminous'un kirpikleri uzun ve dolgun gostermekte ustune yok.

Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse

This was my first Maybelline foundation. The main reason I wanted to try it out was because of its mousse consistency as I have never tried a foundation of that sort before. My favorite way to apply it is with a Sigma F80 flat kabuki brush which results in a flawless, velvety finish. It does feel a bit heavier on skin whether applied with a brush or fingers, so I don't really recommend it for summer. Because it's a medium-full coverage foundation, most of the time I can just skip the concealer step as it does a good job concealing as well. Another thing I love about it is that I never really have to set it with powder.

Dream Smooth Mousse ilk Maybelline fondotenimdi. Denemek istememdeki ana nedenlerden biri kremsi yapisiydi. Sigma F80 kabuki fircasiyla adeta harikalar yaratiyor diyebilirim. Yapisi biraz agir oldugu icin yaz icin tavsiye etmiyorum. Benim alisik oldugum fondotenlerden daha agir bir yapiya sahip oldugu ve kapaticiligi iyi oldugu icin Dream Smooth Mousse'u kullandigim zamanlarda kapaticiya ihtiyac duymuyorum.

Bits & Pieces

Just sharing with you guys bits and pieces of goods I collected in the last few weeks.

First up, we have this Sonia Kashuk eye make-up remover...I have been using my H2O & olive oil mixture as my eye makeup remover for a long time. Since I have just run out of my mixture, I thought I would try an actual product just for the sake of trying something new. I have no clue how it will perform as this is my first time using a non-makeup Sonia Kashuk product. (I do love her eye shadows though!) Hopefully it'll be a great alternative to that of Neutrogena because I simply despise the oily residue it leaves on my eyes.

I had been wanting to get a Clarisonic cleansing system for a long time! I just recently caved and picked it up. I haven't been using it long enough to tell you how I am liking it so far but I will do a separate and more detailed review on it when the time comes.

I was in dire need of new brushes for bronzer and MSF application. I was previously using a really old (in fact so old using it to this day should be illegal!) The Body Shop brush for applying my MSF and a not-so-old-but-not-that-great-and-now-a-little-too-scratchy-for-my-face Avon brush for bronzer. Simply put, these new brushes were a total need and not a want at all. Besides my little elf concealer brush, this will be my first time using a "real" elf brush.

The complexion brush feels soooo soft, I love it! I feel like this is just made better than the bronzing brush (perhaps because it's from the "Studio" line?) and it will not shed, or at least not as much as the bronzing one. Bronzing brush is soft too but not as much the complexion brush and right now I feel like it'll shed so much that it won't have any hairs left. We'll see!

I actually vowed that I will be staying away from Bella Bamba because...I mean another pink blush, really?! But I just couldn't help it. It's just very pretty and girly, smells like flowers and/or candy, I love the new and improved box with its little mirror inside.

Nothing big here, just my 123958th container of my favorite facial scrub. After I run out of my last tube, I always say to myself that I want to try a new scrub and I just always find myself going back for more of this green tea scrub, I don't know what it is! It seems to work for me, I love the smell, the feeling on my face afterward.

Rose D'oro is only one of the 9 colors in Milani's baked blush/bronzer range. It's gorgeous and looks like it will be perfect for achieving a sun-kissed look.

Topless and Barefoot is part of Essie's new Spring collection called "A French Affair". I had just received my quarterly Ulta certificate and chose to get a free nail polish with it. I was originally planning to get a nail polish from OPI's Texas collection but absolutely nothing grabbed my attention, at all! So I decided to go with Topless & Barefoot. It's a pastel nude in creme finish.

Since receiving a Bath & Body Works mailer the other day, I had been dying to try out their new scent Carried Away. Finally yesterday I had the chance to check it out! I tested it on my hand and walked around int the store a good 15 minutes sniffing...everything! The scent was still there, going pretty strong. I decided to buy it because I just loved its sweet, flirty, summery scent. I came home an hour later, washed hands with soap, the scent still lingered on. On my skin, its staying power is just amazing. Quick glance on the back of the tube; ... "a whimsical blend of lush raspberries, white jasmine and whipped vanilla inspired by the way love sweeps you off your feet". Oh yeah, it's definitely comparable to love tee heee!

I just ran out of my beloved Neutrogena hand cream and when I saw these on a shelf at my local Walgreens I knew I had to try it! I love EOS lip balms so I thought I'll probably and hopefully love their hand creams as well. First impression...it smells delish (if you like the cucumber scent that is), very moisturizing, creamy texture.

What have you all been hauling lately? Did you buy any of these products?

Sonia Kashuk Super Sheer Liquid Tint - Poppy

Hello lovelies!

Long time no blog! Hope everyone's well! I've been...not so well as I've been unbelievably sick for over a week :( Previously I was busy running around for a friend's bachelorette party and bridal shower and as soon as we finished with both, I got sick! Literally as soon as I walked in my house from the weekend's festivities, my throat started hurting and you know the rest...stuffy head, nose, sore and itchy throat, sucks! I did save a lot of money during this time of course but I broke my "financial silence" by hitting up Target the other day and "Poppy" caught my eye.

I am not sure if it's a new product or I have just not seen it all this time! I always wanted to try Benefit's cheek stains but they are a bit pricey ($28/.42oz). I think this was a great alternative to the pricier ones just to test if I like cheek stains. For the most part I prefer powder cheek colors/blushes on myself but I still try non-powder ones every now and then. One of the first things that attracted me about this product, other than it's gorgeous color, was that it had a pump! I also thought the packaging was simple but cute.

Formula is liquid and light. I have made the mistake of doing a full pump of it and that was just way too much, you really need about half pump for both cheeks. Trial+Error=Lesson :) It dries to a sheer finish with just the right amount of color and gives a really nice glow to cheeks! I find it really easy to blend and it does not mess up foundation. I personally just use my fingers to blend, but using a brush will also do the trick. It does have a sweet/floral and pleasant scent to it, very summery! I love the fact that it's not sticky! Staying power of this tint is pretty good. I have used it over my foundation and bronzer and haven't noticed any smudging or disappearance for hours. In the bottle the color looks like a bright (and maybe scary for some) coral but when applied and dried like in the picture below, I think it looks more pink/rosy.

I think this tint is great for those days when the sun is scorching (i.e. NOW!) and you just don't want pounds of make-up melting off your face but still want to look your best! I think it may also be a great base underneath your powder blush to get a better color pay-off, I have yet to try this. This product comes in total of 3 colors, the other two are called Peony and Rose; names are almost identical to Benefit cheek stains, hmm interesting! They are $9.99 (.57oz) and so far I'm loving cheek stains! If you want to try cheek stains, give this a try and if you don't like it at least you haven't spent a fortune :)
