I love when a new season arrives because that means I get to play with makeup I forgot I even had! It's kind of like wearing new makeup without paying for it :) Now that fall is in full force - ok the weather in Chicago is in the mid/upper 70s but I can see a few leaves falling off the trees, kinda - it's time to show you what will be on my cheeks this season!
Top L-R: NARS Lovejoy, Sleek Scandalous, NARS Douceur
Bottom L-R: Barry M Terracotta, NARS Taj Mahal
NARS Taj Mahal
Bottom L-R: Barry M Terracotta, NARS Taj Mahal
NARS Taj Mahal
I don't think it gets any more fall than Taj Mahal. A gorgeous, shimmery dark orange that reminds me of pumpkin pie mmm!
NARS Douceur
A great neutral for my-skin-but-better kind of days. Very versatile, very minimal shimmer and perfect for daytime.
Barry M Terracotta
Just like its name states, it's a very pretty terracotta. It is matter, thus making it easy to wear during the day. Terracotta is one of my go-to blushes for a quick daytime look. It is definitely buildable for a more intense nighttime look.
NARS Lovejoy
Dusty rose/brown. It is a little shimmery but nothing over the top.
Sleek Scandalous
Scandalous quickly became a favorite! It's a scary red, I will not blame anyone who is turned off by it right now. But when applied with a stippling brush, it gives cheeks just the right amount of pop of red. I keep the rest of my face pretty neutral when wearing Scandalous.
MAC Blushbaby
At first glance Blushbaby reminds me of Douceur. When swatched next to each other, Blushbaby is visibly pinker whereas Douceur has a hint of brown. Blushbaby is also matte, Douceur is a little shimmery.
Sleek Aruba
Aruba, even though the name definitely doesn't make me think of falling leaves, makes a great fall blush! It's great for those that want an orange blush but think Taj Mahal is just not doable for them. Aruba should also be applied with caution as it can very easily be overdone.
theBalm Cabana Boy
My one and only blush in this shade. A gorgeous mauve that compliments pretty much any look! I can see Cabana Boy looking great on many different skin tones!
Annabelle #48
This beautiful shade looks pretty similar to Cabana Boy but is a little more pinker, I think Cabana Boy is bit more purple. Great for days you want a little color that's suitable for day looks.
Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten in Honey Dipped
This amazing product became one of my favorite cheek products ever since receiving it in my June Birchbox few months ago. It gives my face a glow like no other and looks especially gorgeous with red lips. I included it in this post because I only use it as a blush as it's too shimmery to use as a bronzer for me.
Cargo Topeka
A shimmery, peach with gold shimmer. What sets Topeka apart from other peach blushes is that while being shimmery, it's still subtle and doesn't make you look like a disco ball.

ReplyDeleteLovely blushes! I really want to try Sleek blushes.
ReplyDeleteCargo Topeka looks gorgeous! I love using MAC Desert Rose blush in the fall!
ReplyDeleteHi Ebru! Like you I have been almost naturally passing up my usual favorite Corals for orangier blushes :) Still using bronzer, though!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Blushbaby is my favourite MAC blush of all time!
ReplyDelete...I wish I could say i've been wearing makeup long enough to know what colors I'd wear for fall! Haha! I think i'll be doing browns and peaches (because the latter is a year round color for me.) Probably straying away from pinks and reds.
ReplyDeleteWOAH! Blush heaven. Great post. :)
ReplyDelete-now in kinda jealous :P- i love nars blushes - oasis is my favourite for fall! :)

Thank you Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks doll, I will need to check those out - you always have the most gorgeous blushes :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous for fall, hope you get them soon :) I have been wanting to try Becca, I should look into blushes first perhaps!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteThank you and totally agree with what you said about Taj Mahal :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Sleek blushes are amazing, I only have 3 and couldn't be happier with them, beautiful pigmentation and very affordable prices!
ReplyDeleteIt is :) Desert Rose looks very pretty, do I need it, be honest!
ReplyDeleteI do miss corals but fall blushes are precious for me :) Can't blame you, I can never give up bronzer nor do I want to...bronzers make good blushes for fall as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mariam, Blushbaby is a must have in my opinion - very subtle and pretty :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of fall, I think of the colors of the leaves or anything neutral really :) It depends on how fall makes you feel I think. Darker shades of pinks work for fall in my opinion :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Olivia :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Eda! NARS blushes = addiction - I know how you feel :) Oasis is on my list, hopefully I will get it before the end of fall this year, if not definitely next one!
ReplyDeleteHahah sorry love! I think I will announce a warning on Twitter next time :D
ReplyDeleteMe too :) My most favorite blushes come from NARS, amazing quality! Thanks for your kind words Meredith, it makes me so happy to know that people enjoy reading my blog :)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't already have a blush this color, definitely get it. I never thought I'd wear a blush like Cabana Boy but once applied it looks beautiful! I haven't heard much about Format but according to swatches it looks perfect for fall, is it too shimmery to use for contouring?
ReplyDeleteDo it do it do it! :) Can't wait to see your picks, I'm sure you have some gorgeous blushes that will leave us all drooling! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are crazy colors but gorgeous regardless :) Thanks so much! <3
ReplyDeleteunfortunately format is too shimmery once light hits it.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Some of these are my favorites too. :D
