Little Basket

Having my daily products in this little basket makes my morning routine so much easier! Previously I just had them in my make-up bag and it was such a hassle to have to shuffle through all these products to find the one I am looking for. I don't have to look for them or have them get lost in the midst of my collection. I just have it sit on my bathroom counter (which is where I do my make-up). I think it looks pretty and provides easy access to just what I need. I should have done this sooner!

So here is what it looks like...

I didn't go out and buy the basket for this purpose. It came as a package that had three pretty little hand towels nestled in it which was gifted to me by my grandma. So look around and you may just have something laying around in your house that can be used for holding your goodies.

Essential products my basket holds...

Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
MAC Studio Finish Concealer
MAC MSF Natural
Sephora Blush Me Twice Duo
NARS Blush in Douceur
Dior Amber Diamond

Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Quad - Print, Grain, Shale, Patina
MAC Wedge
Shu Uemura Black Painting Liner
Milani Liquif'eye Eyeliner Pencil
MUFE Smoky Lash
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel

EOS Lipbalm in Lemon Drop
YSL Gloss Pur #2

I use these products daily with just a few of them on rotation such as blush, lip products and eye-shadows. I do sometimes switch out the colors in the MAC quad, but Print and Grain are just my must-haves all the time. Lately my make-up consists of exactly what you see here though.

Do you guys have a basket/box that holds your everyday items?

  1. Yes I have a little box that has all my daily stuff in so they don't get dusty. And I have Dior Amber (of course) and Patina too because it's a gorgeous color! I really want a EOS Lipbalm they all look soooooo cute!

  3. Lovely basket! I just keep my daily make up in a plastic container which I found in the kitchen. Simple but utterly convenient method to store my daily make up..

  4. great idea! I am sort of doing this too, i put my makeup train case (a small one) on my desk and i have a few version of the each of the items/products i'm going to use, like i have 5-6 blushes in it, to make sure i don't use just one color all the time, lol! xoxo

feel free to check out my hello kitty giveaway btw :)!

  5. I store mine in a make up bag & acrylic box, but I do like your basket idea! It seems quicker!

  6. I have a "little basket" too, except mine is more like a medium-sized bin so I still manage to put way too many products in there that I think are my "everyday products", but really they're not and I always have a hard time shuffling through everything just to find my concealer at the bottom of the bin :-/

Have you swatched or talked about the Sephora Blush Me Twice Duo before on here? I'm curious about it!

  7. That is one cute basket with lovely goodies! I looked directly at your Dior Amber Diamonds that I will own one day. Haha. I dont have a basket for my everyday stuff since all my makeup are organized by blush, powder, eyeliner, mascara and such. But it is accessible so it's not bad. But I used to have a small basket full of my everyday makeup before. :)

  10. I wish I can do that but I just don't have the space! I store all my makeup inside my drawers.

  12. That's such a cute idea, not to mention it saves time!!!

I should store my most used items in a similar way too, because atm I just pick what's at the front/top on a daily basis... I call it a lack-of-storage-space-induced-makeup-rut, haha!!!
