I bought Dainty a while back because MAC was out of the Peaches blush which I was obsessed with at the time. I just really wanted a new blush and just couldn't come home empty handed. I was pretty "blah" with this purchase because I really wanted Peaches. I decided I could make it work so I held on to it. Then I changed my mind and was going to return it but totally forgot about it as it got lost under my pile of paperwork that was on my desk. Then it was too late. A few people told me their MAC accepts returns even after the 30 days are up. I was just lazy to go to MAC (Lazy to go to MAC, crazy huh?) so I kept it. I am actually happy that I did because it is gorgeous (I can't believe I let Peaches blind me like this that I didn't see the beauty in this blush!) plus I don't own any other mineralize blushes, gotta have one of everything! ;)
Dainty is described as "light yellow pink with gold pearl" by MAC. In the container it looks like a warm toned peachy pink with slight hint of gold in it. It's super soft to touch and pigmentation is just amazing. Oh and it smells like roses!! Makes me wonder how it'd be as an eye shadow. Will definitely try it as I don't really have any eye shadows this color! Below picture is taken with flash.
Here it is without flash.
I think Dainty looks a bit similar to NARS Orgasm blush. The difference is that Orgasm has that shimmery gold overlay that Dainty does not. Instead it has very finely milled gold flecks in it. Unfortunately I gave my Orgasm blush to my sister so I can't show you the difference between the two. I find Dainty to have great color pay off , I achieved the swatch on my hand below with only one sweep! I will more than likely do a look using this blush to see the color pay off on my cheeks, so look out for it!
